Biosol
Reduces Cost to Sewage Authorities
Biosol treats the cause of the problem rather than the
symptom:
Biosol's
proprietary microbial control technology uses trace levels
of naturally occurring cell signaling chemicals. These cell
signaling chemicals are used as bacterial communication
signals to speed up or slow down microbial action.
Biosol reduces cost in sewage catchments
by:
•
Controlling sewage odours,
• Minimising sulfide production,
• Reducing the impact of infrastructure corrosion, and
• Removing fat and grease deposits.
This is achieved by sending the bacteria in the sewage
catchment pipes into a planktonic (single cell) state. In
this state bacteria the bacteria are effectively in a
'hibernation' phase. This is evidenced by a reduced
metabolic and reproduction rate of the bacteria in the
sewage catchment. As a consequence the microbes use less
oxygen and the dissolved oxygen level in the sewage rises.
This ensures that the sewage remains fresher for longer
during the transport phase.
Biosol reduces costs at the sewage treatment plant
by:
•
Improving sewage process,
• Improving effluent quality,
• Deferring sewage treatment plant augmentation, and
• Reducing sludge volumes and sludge handling costs.
Biosol is able to be dosed in such a way, that as sewage
approaches the sewage treatment plant, the microbial
inhibition qualities of the Biosol product are deminishing.
This causes an end to the 'hibernation' phase and brings on
a significant increase in microbial metabolic and
reproduction rates. This leads to better and faster sewage
process resulting in improved effluent quality and reduced
sludge volumes.
Biosol is primarily designed for use in the following
environments:
*
Sewerage Systems (from small package plants to large sewage
systems servicing entire cities)
* Septic Tanks
Industrial wastewater treatments systems associated with
the following industries:
* Wineries
* Intensive Agriculture
* Food process industries
Biosol is available in:
* 25 litre drums,
* 200
litre drums,
* 1000 litre cubes.
